Armaguerra OG-43

Armaguerra OG-43

This was a pretty interesting project, I've learnt a lot on this one. A lot of this became guess work due to very scarce reference material on this thing after the war.

The Armaguerra OG-43 and OG-44 were submachine guns built by the Armaguerra Cremona company and designed by Giuseppe Oliani. They consisted of a stamped steel receiver, with an L-shaped bolt running above the barrel. This meant the overall receiver could be shorter and lighter, pushing most of the weight toward the front.

The design itself is extremely unique, with the magazine acting as the pistol grip when inserted. With the weapon unloaded, the stock and foregrip could be collapsed to make the OG-43 more compact and concealable.

There is only believed to be a single specimen left, and it is unclear if many were produced by the end of the war. There are only 4-5 images of the OG-43 model available online, which made modelling this beaut a little trickier.
